Study In Slovakia with us

Why EduSlovakia?

Our Bratislava-based team helps you compare study programmes, prepare university applications and plan for entrance examinations.

EduSlovakia appears on the Comenius Faculty of Medicine contract-partner list and the UPJŠ Faculty of Medicine representative list. These listings do not guarantee admission or preferential treatment.

We provide general signposting for visa and residence questions. We do not prepare, submit or manage immigration applications. Read our admissions, visa and residence policy for the scope of our support.

Study options in Slovakia include English-taught programmes in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, business, science, engineering and the arts. Availability and language requirements depend on the exact faculty, programme and intake. Use the official admissions call as your final checklist.

Do I need IELTS or TOEFL?

There is no single IELTS or TOEFL score that applies to every Slovak university. A faculty may request a recognised certificate, accept evidence of previous education in English, or assess your language during an interview or examination. Confirm which evidence is accepted, its required level and any validity limit before booking a test.

Examples from official faculty requirements

The Comenius Faculty of Natural Sciences bachelor’s instructions describe English evidence such as a school-leaving English examination or recognised B2 certificate. Check the instructions for your intended intake and exact programme.

For Management in English at Comenius University, the faculty describes an English-language motivation interview, with exemptions governed by its admission criteria. This is different from a universal certificate requirement.

Choose a programme before comparing entry requirements

Start with the Comenius English programme directory, the EUBA General Management programme page or the official source linked on your selected EduSlovakia programme listing. Compare the qualification, duration, teaching language, annual tuition and academic year.

Medical applicants should check the Comenius Faculty of Medicine admission process or the UPJŠ English-programme admissions information. Do not assume that language evidence replaces academic selection or entrance examinations.

Learning Slovak alongside your degree

Even when teaching is in English, Slovak can be useful for daily life. Health-related programmes may include Slovak for communication with patients; check the actual curriculum and clinical-language expectations with the faculty.

Prepare your application

Check the next intake dates, accepted school or university qualifications, document-recognition requirements, and language evidence. Keep the faculty’s written confirmation when a published page is unclear or contains conflicting dates.
