Hi
Do high-school grades weigh or be ranked?
Do they affect a chance of getting in?
Or the only thing matters is only the entrance exam?
Hi, thank you for your question!
For Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, your high-school documents are required to prove that you have completed secondary education and are eligible to apply. However, for the English General Medicine programme, admission is mainly based on the entrance exam result in Biology and Chemistry.
High-school grades are not usually ranked in the same way as in GPA-based admission systems. Strong Biology and Chemistry background can definitely help with preparation, but the entrance exam is the key factor for acceptance.

Hi
Do you have a master’s degree programs in dentistry?
I am a dentist from Palestine
Graduated from Russia in 1997
The General Medicine and Dentistry programs are six-year courses that lead to the awarding of a doctorate degree. Unfortunately, there are no complementary programs available at this time for individuals who have already completed a master’s degree.
In Slovakia, dentistry programs are structured as a six-year Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree, which is equivalent to a master’s degree and leads directly to professional qualification. There are no standalone master’s programs in dentistry for those who have already completed their dental studies.
However, if you are looking for postgraduate specialization courses or professional training programs, some Slovak universities offer continuing education and specialization options in fields such as orthodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. You may need to undergo a qualification recognition process (nostrification) before enrolling in any specialization program.
If you are interested in practicing dentistry in Slovakia, you would also need to meet the licensing requirements set by the Slovak Dental Chamber. Let us know if you need guidance on these processes!
